A brand new waking nightmare presented by The Basement: A Live Escape Room Experience, Dead & Breakfast is a private escape adventure designed to test you in ways you never thought possible! You and your friends have been kidnapped by Edward Tandy -- a cannibalistic serial killer with a hunger for taxidermy, strange mechanisms, and of course human flesh. He has created a twisted game in his deceased mother's home, designed to weed out those who are unworthy of escaping with their lives. Beginning at 10am, Mondays-Thursdays only, guests are invited into the Tandy household for a day they’ll never forget. Featuring ALL FOUR of our escape room experiences: play them back-to-back in a private, VIP setting. Ever felt like you needed MORE TIME during your game? During Dead & Breakfast, you and your team will play until you complete each experience!

Amazing escape room with live actors. We had an absolute blast and while it’s intense and can be scary everyone there was very nice and accommodating!

At the time that I'm writing this review, they are offering the Dead'n Breakfast experience at $200 per person for any weekday (Monday to Friday). You get to experience all four rooms: The Basement (Ch 1) , The Shaft (Ch 2), The Study (Ch 3) , and The Courtyard (Ch 4). Because our group essentially booked the whole place to yourselves, they offered us a continental breakfast of pastries and drinks. First of all, this package is worth every dollar. If you do the escape rooms separately, you are limited to the 45 minute time for each escape room. While my group managed to do the rooms in less that 45 minutes, it still adds to the experience to know that you do not have to rush and that you get unlimited hints. As for the live actors, every single one of them brought the passion to their role, no doubt about it. We had Taninna, Daniella, and Aidan. I found myself drawn to Taninna and Aidan, simply because they were both flexible and sarcastic with our group. They had us do the rooms out of order, but when you go through the experience all in one day, it makes sense to me why they did what they did. Overall, I usually stay away from horror themed experiences but this one is manageable for scaredy cats like myself. The puzzles with the live actors were the most memorable for me - and the story line is coherent and engaging.

Dead and Breakfast is a worthwhile compilation of your experience! Note that you will start out of order but that will not detract from your experience. They give you fair warnings before you enter each room with what to expect and the production value and live actors are top notch. I find myself leaning towards the live actor in the study the most as Aiden captured both hint giving and the theme most vividly. It's scary, but not too scary. I think most will manage just fine. I will say that none of the actors lacked passion here. And neither will you.

A very unique experience. I’ve never seen or heard of an entire day event of escape rooms, but I’m glad I did because this experience was amazing! You get breaks in between the rooms with food so it was nice to sit and relax once you finish.

Did a horror escape room trip in LA with some friends and the basement rooms were my fav. The actresses we had were amazing and made the experience more memorable.
