Between the years 1870 and 1900, Mentryville, a small oil drilling town of 200 residents was an ideal community of modest homes and puritan ideals. A seemingly perfect, quiet town to raise a family... but few know of Mentryville's darkest secret.

Excellent room, great actor, and logical, linear gameplay!

This room was amazing. The guide was very informative and immersive. He was gentle with the way he’d lead us while letting us figure out how to do the puzzles. I’d recommend this room if you want to feel like you’re in a story and while solving puzzles. This is not a timed room, so you have to want to do this if you’re interested in good story telling. I’d recommend this. It was also a refreshing change from the usual escape rooms. A unique experience.

I enjoyed being in a room where I did not feel rushed and could just be in the moment taking everything in. You can take as long as needed with minimal help from the live actor in the room. *You won’t advance if you don’t listen to the live actor* The only thing I did not enjoy was the room being slightly small room and it being kind of a lock focused room. Overall a good experience and good break from the normal escape room experience.

I didn’t love this room. At the time of playing this, there was an actor in the room with you (which was tiny to begin with) and it made things kind of awkward. I get why it was necessary to be in there as he was part of the story, the room was just so small and the puzzles were pretty cheap. We escaped and we had a good time don’t get me wrong, but since there are so many other escape rooms, I wouldn’t recommend this one (unless you’re stuck in the Santa Clarita area).
