“Very intense with epic production quality - I was stunned by the quality of the sets. I don't like horror movies, but it felt like I was in one from the first moment. It was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I'm glad I did it. We were 3, but with more it'd be less intense (but there may also be moments where some are standing around watching the others do puzzles.) This "part 1" is a better escape room and way scarier than part 2 (Fun House), but this side was "all dark, all the time", so it felt a bit more one note to me, as opposed to part 2 which had notes of levity mixed in. That said, you'll probably play them both, and this is the one to start with unless you want to ease your way into them with the less scary or the two (in that case do Fun House first). I had the "honor" (horror) of being singled out about 2/3 of the way for an intense moment. But it was also the most single memorable moment of all of this company's games.”

“One of the most extraordinary escape experiences. I felt like I was in a movie, so theatrical and elevated. Everything from the set to the actor to the puzzles was mind blowing. I will be thinking about this experience for years to come. Enthusiasts this is one for you!”

“So I loved the Doctor's Secret and as per recommendations, played this one right after as it continues the storyline. It was even better than the first! It’s a newer game, and the set (despite being an old asylum) looks newer. Without ruining the live actor/hint system, I'll just say it's enjoyable and unique. The puzzles were excellent and flowed really well. There was at least one that we saw that we had not encountered before which is always appreciated. When one goes to Vegas, there's an expectation of a grand show, and Lost Games nails it with Playtime. If you want the full experience, sign up for Doctor's Secret and do that one right before.”

“I really enjoyed all of the rooms at the Basement including The Study. We did this one pre COVID where rooms could fill up with people you didn’t know and the max was definitely too many in my opinion. I think the sweet spot on this is prob 3-4 for me and my team. I appreciated the set design and there was some very creative spots that made it feel super creepy without actually being very scary. They had a puzzle in this room that I still talk about to this day as being very easy and also nearly impossible to solve for so many people. I can’t give it away, obviously, but let’s just say this room was fun!”

“Really well done room. Very dark to start which can make it frustrating. One puzzle didn’t quite pass my logic test but we got nudged there. Probably their second or third best room. I think Special Ops is my favorite.”

“This room was great, good mix of mechanical and lock puzzles. Requires good communication at the start. Easily playable with 2 people. Rated hard but for experienced players I would probably say more medium. Don’t play if you’re not good with tight spaces”

“Wow, what a fun game! I enjoyed it so much the first time, I’ve played it again since. The puzzles were a fun mix of complex, and simple but they still had us scratching our heads at some points. A very creative use of props in this space, and I found the puzzles to be spaced out well. A room where good communication will help aide in the escape, and have a better experience, although entirely doable as a solo play. I did come across some lights that weren’t functional during my group play, but as always The Escape Game makes it easy to check in with your GM and verify if something is amiss.”

“I love the variety of puzzles in this room and there was plenty to fill our time. We did complete it with just two of us and no hints. One a player of borderlands and one having never touched the game. Both enjoyed the room.”

“This was a really fun room! The puzzles were creative, familiar to enthusiasts, and made sense. I loved knowing what puzzles to focus on next from the spotlights. The set design was amazing. Even though you could barely see the warehouse ceiling, it wasn’t enough to pull you out of the setting. This is a perfect room for anyone who wants to try a spooky room for the first time!”

“We didn’t have the best time at mind twist so we added this on. Wow I’m glad we did! For an older room the production holds up very well! Puzzles made sense and this is perfect for a group of two or three! An A+ room for me!”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
There are plenty of awesome escape rooms to choose from in Las Vegas. The goal of Morty is to make escape rooms more accessible for everyone to find and play. That’s why the best way to book an escape room in Las Vegas is through the Morty app. You can get updates on new games, read reviews, compare details (including difficulty, theme, runtime) and plan an outing with friends, all on the same platform.
