“The atmosphere, design, and actor interaction were great. There were a couple wow moments as well that really played into the magician theme. The only thing that could have made it better were more riddles, but the story and actor interaction do not leave much time for more.”

“After playing the magician for the first time, I let myself be tempted by the full experience bringing together the brand's two rooms. I was curious to see what the transition would be that would bring together a magic room and a horror room, and I was not disappointed! Thrills and anxiety guaranteed! We find ourselves immersed in a story that gives us the impression of playing in a horror film. The actors are very good and take us into their world at a disconcerting speed! The mechanisms, the puzzles, the settings... nothing is left to chance. It’s genius! Quickly a third room!!! One thing is certain, it is that the city of martyrs has many surprises in store for us!”

“Super cool set. The circus set was scarier than expected, but fit with the theme. The puzzles in the magician half were more puzzle-like, and the second half were more on "stop the horror" Actors did a great job.”

“The acting was on point on the millisecond. The effects breathtaking and the story told deeply touching. All surrounded by this magical world that lets you fall deep into immersion. A world with you in there on a mission between life and death. It just was immaculate. We have laughed as hard as never before and cried because of emotional attachment and the beauty of every tiny detail. Thank you for this unforgettable experience - 30 meters below the ground.”

“This was our favorite room at this location. When we finished, we were really curious about how some of the most creative elements of the room were accomplished. Our GM was very passionate which took our experience from excellent to superb. The story was very immersive, and the puzzles were challenging. Go play this room!”

“This room was very fun! The puzzles were logical and the the room had good flow. My only criticism is that sometimes the puzzles felt instructional (simply following steps). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed it.”

“This was the first of 2 rooms that we did at this location. The second was the revolt. Both rooms were great but we preferred this one. The puzzles were fun but nothing felt hard or required much thought. We felt it was an easier room than most. Not that it lacked puzzles, they were just more intuitive. The room design and puzzles themselves were top notch and a lot of fun. We found a bunch of things we hadn’t seen before in this room. Overall a really great time with a fun build out.”

“Another very well thought out room. I don’t want to give spoilers but this room had some curveballs and definitely made it interesting. It is difficult to decide which of their rooms I like best but they all are well planned, creative, and novel. Very enjoyable and can be done with 2 or as a group.”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
