“I finished Motel Betty a couple hours ago and I’m still riding a high. In my opinion it nails EVERYTHING; the set, flow, effects, immersion, puzzles, AND use of a live actor. Holy moly. Can’t recommend enough if you like a scary room- definitely the best I’ve done in the GTA. I was especially impressed with how fully immersed you feel in the story. The two hours were some of the most fun I’ve had in an escape room and flew by! My group didn’t finish but the staff does let you play out the end, which I really appreciated. For my group of four this did feel like a pretty difficult room despite the 3/5 difficulty rating, so I would recommend asking for hints (or taking a hint when the staff asks if you’d like one) and not being stubborn like we were for the first half of the game! Overall, fantastic room and a new fave. Can’t wait to try out the rest of the Omventure rooms- we’re all determined to get that elite status! 😂”

“Absolutely an incredible and memorable experience! This room is very unique and could be considered a class of its own. You really have to think outside of the box with this one as the puzzles are purely logical based. Which means, there's nothing like colored numbers or text that serve as an "input" to something, or finding random symbols that somehow correspond to a sequence. No, this is something where you'll believe that you're in a real situation with your imagination on what is possible to do in your environment being your best tool to escape. Phenomenal room!!”

“Loved the vibe and tech in the room. Was on the harder side which was also appreciated. Needed a good amount of communication. The multiple possible endings was a nice touch, wish we had the opportunity to have those alternates play out!”

“Noriko is a great intro to a scarier escape room! We had a blast with some of the really unique elements in this multilevel room. We screamed, we laughed, it was a really fun theme with lost of great immersive details and surprises I have never seen in another room before or since! There were a couple puzzles that were not my favourite but overall if you are looking for a room that will keep you kn your toes, Noriko is a great choice!”

“I really enjoyed the mix of puzzles and theming in this space. The puzzles were challenging but reasonable and felt a sense of satisfaction/accomplishment when finished. As always with this company the set design is very immersive and sets the mood really well.”

“Even if you have played over 80 escape rooms, I guarantee you this will still have something new for you to discover. Our group is very experienced and we still would’ve needed an extra 5 mins to complete the game. The game master allowed us to keep playing to experience the entire narrative and puzzles which was a huge plus! We were the last group of the night and he knew how close we were to the end. I would not recommend this room to first time players because the puzzles will be too challenging and it will set the standard too high for future rooms when it comes to production value. Not all rooms are created equal. Save this room for escape enthusiasts who think they’ve seen and played it all.”

“Gorgeous room, clearly a lot of love went into it! Really enjoyed the storytelling and how it was weaved into the puzzles. Fairly straightforward puzzles but the “magic” in the room made it more than worthwhile!”

“Number 1 ranked escape room for production value and immersion in my opinion. We have played escape rooms all around the world and this was unlike any other. The puzzles were challenging enough without taking you out of the game. We had a blast with our group of 8!”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
