“Very fun and immersive! No traditional locks used and all the mechanisms were well integrated as to not stand out but noticeable enough to not be frustrating. We had a mixed group of 6 in terms of experience and we all felt satisfied with the variety and quantity of puzzles. We had plenty of time left so maybe a group of 4 would be a better size, but overall no one left disappointed. Alexa was a very nice and personable gm and did a good job briefing us and nudging when we were spinning our wheels a bit.”

“We really enjoyed that there were some creative puzzles that we hadn’t seen before and some interesting double layering of puzzles. And the immersiveness right from the start of the play was fun. Nicely built out set appropriate to the story. And a fun way that they found to add a bonus puzzle if there is time. And everything worked! We enjoyed this a lot. ALSO if you solve the room, they donate $25 to the charity of your choice. They call it “Solve It Forward.” Very cool!”

“very fun and immersive space, all 3 "rooms" and the lobby of the experience were varied but well done with a satisfying amount and difficultly of puzzles in each. We had a trio of experienced people and we all stuck together throughout all the rooms and that seemed to be the right amount of people and approach. the story was pretty simple but realistic and made us chuckle a little bit at the end. Our guide was very nice and was great with the hints, only giving them when we asked.”

“Phenomenal room! I really felt like I was on an adventure in an Ocean’s Eleven or even One Piece environment! Like, it really is an underwater casino, and that is just soooo cool! I enjoyed the casino games. And I especially enjoyed what happens during the course of the game, which makes me appreciate the magic of escape rooms and set design even more! Definitely recommend taking a gamble to dive into this one!”

“The set design in this room is incredible. From the first moment the attention to detail is fantastic and the immersion is perfect. The gameplay is a lot of fun and there are several legitimately funny moments! My only complaint is the way the gameplay is structured. At the beginning of the game they let you know that there will be bonus puzzles throughout that will be optional but that must be completed before the end of the narrative to count. We finished the narrative with 25 minutes remaining, which was honestly a little disappointing, but we didn’t end up finishing the bonus puzzles in the time remaining and just decided to finish the narrative at the last second. Idk it was a bit of an anticlimactic structure for a game. Puzzle flow was good and the puzzles were the consistently solid ones I’ve come to expect from 60 to escape. This one is a worth your time for the set design alone, and with the puzzles being a good time, the gameplay isn’t too much of a drawback. I’d recommend this one!”

“They hype this one up as their “most difficult room” so I was expecting some complex puzzles but tbh there were just a lot of simpler puzzles. This game really does do the “normal setting becomes sci-fi” trope in a fun and funny way, and the gameplay is a good time! The puzzles themselves weren’t mind blowing or super clever but they were still fun! Puzzle flow was a little awkward at times but not super stilted. Overall, a solid game! I’d say definitely worth playing if you’re local and one to put on the list if you’re traveling.”

“This game is a pretty good time! This definitely has the feel of an older game, with a worn down set that was broken in a few places, but the gameplay flowed well, there was a surprise spectacle factor, and the puzzles, while for the most part simple, were pretty fun! We had one frustrating moment when puzzle tech wasn’t working as intended just due to being worn down and a little broken, which wasted a little time, but honestly we aren’t the type of team that cares about that. The GM for this game was incredible. I can’t recall his name but he was so much fun and made the experience more ~magical~”

“This was my favorite game at any of the three of 60 to Escape locations. The set and story/characters really stood out to me as well done and fun. There's some obvious movie homage-ing going on, and I think 60 to Escape pulled it off well. What puzzles asked us to do made sense in-universe, or at least were themed well. That's not to say everything was perfect. Specifically, I thought the ending puzzle suffered due to its ambiguous design - we instantly knew generally what we wanted to do, but guessing the correct interpretation that the game wanted (when there were several alternate, equally compelling solutions) was a letdown.”

“Room was very interesting, well designed and dressed and in good repair. My group of 3 had a great time working through the many many puzzles and were pleasantly suprised with how the experience advanced compared to how simple it seemed from the start. Nice mix of puzzles that required teamwork and solo-able puzzles that we could split off and do seperately. The hint system was delightful and unlike anything we had seen before and was not intrusive at all. Hints were not requested at any time and the only ones we got were from the GM verifying our room talk that we had the information already for the current tasks. overall a great experience and looking forward to the next room refresh or time we host family for a reason to go back.”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
