“The Nemesis Club are masters in what they do and this room is no exception. I was a little more confused on how to get started with this room than the Mogollom Monster, but once our group picked up momentum, the rest of the puzzles became more intuitive. A minor hiccup but there was one puzzle in the end that suffered from a little wear and tear . However, our group of five still had fun regardless. Our game master’s humor was much appreciated and we could tell that they matched our enthusiasm by showing us more of the room. Since we were traveling from LA, I will remember them for going the extra mile for us! Their milkshake shop next door was a worthy stop as a reward for the puzzles. Would recommend allotting more time because ice cream just tastes so much better after an escape room!”

“This room is a definite just do it! So very creative and not a theme I had done before and I’ve done a few. I loved the intro and the camping, searching for AZ’s Bigfoot theme. The Nemesis Club knows how to do an escape room. Set design as amazing, play and puzzles were fantastic, VERY immersive experience. Definitely worth traveling for as my group did. We flew in just for the day from SoCal to do their rooms and they did NOT disappoint!”

“My group flew in from SoCal for the day to do Nemesis Club’s rooms. 💯💯 worth it. This one was my favorite!! Super cool start (can’t spoil it but I really want to 😂), and just a jaw-dropping set design. One of the best immersive rooms as well. I appreciated the different themes within the room that cohesively came together as one. The ending though!!!! Gotta play to find out! This has something for everyone in type of puzzles, theme of puzzles, and is truly an unforgettable room. Probably made it in my all-time top 5 faves I think! 😱🥳”

“This room is massive - really lends itself to the feeling of getting lost in Wonderland. The puzzles are very approachable, the set felt theatrical. One of my favorite uses of black light in a room. I'll also make the note that we brought some family to try the room after we did it and the staff me stand in the room with them so I could watch them play. Very much appreciated it.”

“This one is probably competing with Mad Hatter's Tea Party for the best at Eludesions, a lot of positives but also a couple of rough patches that I hope have been smoothed out in the couple years since I played it. Probably close to the top of the "scary" rooms I've done which in all fairness isn't a ton but speaks to the level at which this one can get to if it could've gone without the technical difficulties we had in the room. The last puzzle was kinda confusing and I never really understood it and there was one puzzle that didn't trigger at the right time which was unfortunate because it was a pretty cool puzzle if I remember right. Like I said the potential in this room is pretty high and I hope they've smoothed out the rough around the edges since, but it's definitely worth giving a shot because the story progressed pretty well, and we had a good time. One last thing is it's definitely the first room that Eludesions tried to do as high tech as it is which I think contributes to the technical difficulties that we had, an older gen 3 if I'm not mistaken.”

“The team here are great, friendly, and even laughed with our old folks jokes. And as for the experience; Such a beautiful room! The puzzles were thoughtful, and could be completed with the team or as individuals. Theme was a fun spin on a “remote island” experience and everything had purpose. So glad we wishlisted this last year and finally got to experience it!”

“The puzzles were fun to figure out and all made sense. I forgot something that was fairly straightforward and had to get a reminder nudge but the rest was a blast. I think I like the Isle room more, but this one is certainly worth playing.”

“I think this is my favorite room of the location. Some difficulty needed because of crawling on the floor and very steep stairs but the 4 of us enjoyed ourselves and did pretty well with all the puzzles and game play.”

“As a fan of the show, this room was so well designed and a real treat. The atmosphere does really feel like the setting in Hawkins and the puzzles were fun and engaging. A couple tricky spots kept us on our toes!”

There’s a reason why this part of the country is called the Valley of the Sun, few places in the US get more sun than this desert metropolis. But Phoenix and Glendale have a lot more to offer than just a nice tan, these closely related cities are a hotbed of culture, attractions, and some of the best escape rooms in the southwest. If visiting in the winter - something that is highly recommended - then consider catching a Cardinal’s football game at University of Phoenix Stadium. Or perhaps you might enjoy a family hike Papago Park? Whatever your interests may be, you’ve go to eat, and Chelsea’s Kitchen is an excellent option for any palette. Just be sure to save some room in the itinerary for some of the area’s best escape rooms - there’s a lot to experience, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself returning again and again.
Phoenix and Glendale have embraced the escape room community over the past few years, turning out some of the highest quality games in the region. Since the first escape rooms arrived in The Valley of the Sun, this oasis in the desert has fallen in love with these immersive experiences. In fact, greater Phoenix is now home to over 20 different escape room venues. Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Eludesions Escape Rooms is a fantastical adventure suitable for all ages. Grim Stacks: Books & Binding at The Puzzle Effect seamlessly intertwines thought-provoking puzzles into its immersive theme and set design. Escape Westgate’s The Lost Tomb is a fresh take on the popular excavation motif. With dozens of escape games in the area, the possibilities are basically endless — you’ll find games with themes of horror, adventure, crime, espionage, and plenty you may not expect.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
There are plenty of awesome escape rooms to choose from in Phoenix & Glendale. The goal of Morty is to make escape rooms more accessible for everyone to find and play.
